Finest 500 2026 Competition Submissions Open

Geelong Writers is now accepting submissions for the Finest 500 2026 competition.
The Finest 500 is an annual competition for paid members of Geelong Writers only. This year, members are invited to submit prose or poetry to no more than 500 words in response to the prompt ‘Turning Point’.
PRIZES
First Prize: $500
Second Prize: $50 book voucher
Third Prize: $30 book voucher
Shortlisted entries will be published in a chapbook and online.
Submissions close 3 May 2026.
