Presenter Profile
Dr. Mohjo Ghafouri holds a PhD in Water Science. He earned a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education
(Teaching and Learning) from Deakin University, where he taught water engineering for a decade. Alongside his academic career, he has long been fascinated by water not only as a scientific discipline but also as a reservoir of memory, history, and human experience.
This interdisciplinary perspective inspired his debut historical fiction novel, “PERSIANS: The Army of
Ancient Spirits”, which draws on Persian mythology, ancestral memory, and themes of identity and
displacement. Mohjo independently published his book through Amazon KDP and will share practical insights into the self-publishing journey, including its opportunities and challenges.
