Submissions to Funniest 500 are now open.
We’re looking for our members to submit their funniest stories, stories that go beyond mirth, beyond rib-tickling, beyond side-splitting. Indeed, we want stories where the reader will laugh so hard that they will need to “hang on tight!” to prevent themselves from dropping book or device.
This is a competition for members of Geelong Writers only. Stories must respond to the prompt “Hang on Tight!”. The winner of this year’s Funniest 500 will receive a $500 prize. Shortlisted entries will be published in a chapbook and online.
